AWESOME
(copied)
This
is almost overwhelming when you think about it.
Moses
and the people were in the desert, but what was he going to do with
them?
They
had to be fed, and feeding 2 or 3 million people requires a lot of
food.
According to the Quartermaster General in the Army, it is reported
that Moses would have to have had 1500 tons of food each day. Do
you know that to bring that much food each day, two freight trains,
each at least a mile long, would be required!
Besides you must remember, they were out in the desert, so they would
have to have firewood to use in cooking the food. This would
take 4000 tons of wood and a few more freight trains, each a mile
long, just for one day.
And
just think, they were forty years in transit.
And OH
yes! they would have to have water. If they only had
enough to drink and wash a few dishes, it would take 11,000,000
gallons each day and a freight train with tank cars, 1800 miles long,
just to bring water!
And
then another thing!
They
had to get across the Red Sea at night. Now, if they went on a
narrow path, double file, the line would be 800 miles long and would
require 35 days and nights to get through. So there had to be a
space in the Red Sea, 3 miles wide so that they could walk 5000
abreast to get over in one night.
But
then, there is another problem.................each time they camped
at the end of the day, a campground two-thirds the size of the state
of Rhode Island was required, or a total of 750 square miles
long..........think of it! This much space for camping.
Do you
think Moses figured all this our before he left Egypt? I think
not!
You
see, Moses believed in God. God took care of these things for
him.
Now do
you think God has any problem taking care of all your needs?
I
asked the Lord to bless you As I prayed for you today. To guide
you and protect you as you go along your way........His love is always
with you, His promises are true, And when we give Him all our cares,
You know He will see us through.
Our
God is an Awesome God!!
So
when the road you're traveling on seems difficult at best, just
remember I'm praying and God will do the rest.
Joseph Smith was supposed
to be a prophet, but he didn't do nearly as well as Moses!
WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
Our
ministry is the result of 50 years of work in Utah and dealing with
the subject of Mormonism.
I am not
angry. My 17 years in Utah were pleasant. I never had a
problem with a neighbor or friend.
But
Mormonism is not a Christian faith! It is not Catholic
or Protestant! They are not better people. They
are just folks like you and I.
Some
are good morally. Most are about average. But all (me
too) have sinned! Joseph Smith, Jr. was not perfect by any
means. In fact, he had somewhere between 33 and 48
wives, depending on which source you accept!
He
told several different stories about his being visited by God, who had
a human body. Some said he was visited by Christ, some said
he was visited by God and Christ as two human beings.
His
early life included 'glass-gazing,' seeking buried treasure, etc.
He was
less than 25 when the Book of Mormon was printed. We
believe Sidney Rigdon was its major author. But that's
another story.
Mormonism teaches that God is an exalted man, that he has a body, that
he can be at only one place at a time, that he has not always been
God. That men now living can become gods.
Since
Mormons profess to believe that the Book of Mormon is more
reliable than the Bible, I have chosen to use it to disprove the
teaching's of Mormonism!
On the
title page, the second paragraph, the Book of Mormon says plainly,
"that JESUS is the CHRIST, THE ETERNAL GOD...." (Note caps
in book.)
Could
it be plainer than that?
The Three
Witnesses ended there testimony with the positive statement:
"And the honor be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy
Ghost, which is one God. Amen."
Could
it have been stated more plainly than that?
In
Alma 11:22 it says that Amulek will "say nothing which is
contrary the Spirit of the Lord..." and in verse 28 Zeezrom
plainly asks, "Is there more than one God?"
And in
verse 29 he "answered, No."
Isn't
that plain?
Then
in verse 38 - 39 Zeezrom asks, "Is the Son of God the very
Eternal Father? And Amulek said unto him: Yes, he is the very
Eternal Father of heaven and of earth, and all things which in them
are; he is the beginning and the end, the first and the last; and
shall come to redeem his people;...."
Isn't
that plain? One should not have to be a prophet to understand
that!
Now
there are many other passages in the Book of Mormon that
confirm that teaching: Mormon 9:9-11, Moroni 8:18; which says
that "God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but
he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity."
Read
Mormon 9:9-11 and any number of other passages in the Book of
Mormon.
Your
prophets have erred! They've offered you false gods.
They've told you the same story that the Devil told Eve!
"And the serpent said unto the woman (Eve), Ye shall not surely
die for God doth know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes
shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
And
she ate of it!
And
Mormonism has been preaching the teaching's of the Devil ever since.
And
some of their leaders have had the audacity to say that Christ and the
Devil are brothers! The Gospel Through the Ages by
Milton Hunter, pg. 15, 105, 106, says: "that God himself was once
as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder
heavens!"
The
statement by the Prophet Lorenzo Snow, "As man is, God once was;
as God is, man may become," continues to be a Mormon doctrine!
Of all
the error ever taught - none have excelled these teachings!
A CULT!
Mormonism is a cult, at the present time, the largest, fastest
growing, and aggressive religious cult in the world. They have
11,500,000 members and 60,000 missionaries and are baptizing about
300,000 proselytes a year (people who've been persuaded to leave their
churches and become Mormon). They also have a higher
birthrate than the rest of the nation and count them as members soon
after birth.
Utah
has 1,604,686 Mormon members.
A cult
is a religious group which looks to it's founder, a man or woman who
supposedly has been called of God to declare all previous religious
groups in error and that they (alone) possess a
unique, religious truth - really the only religious truth..
Invariably they have some kind of literature that they consider to
contain truths not found in the Bible.
They
declare all other efforts in error, and grow by proselyting,
convincing already attending, believing, contributing. moral people,
that they've been misled and claiming to possess the only truth.
These
people are work-oriented. They demand a great deal of work on
the part of their people. We've all been called on my Jehovah's
Witnesses and Mormons, the most easily identified cultists of our
time.
These
groups have peculiar traits that people in general would not accept.
They
usually pick out what they think are the most acceptable traits, but
often have some "off the wall" teachings. they are
usually careful not mention these.
Mormonism is a good example of a modern-day cult! They are known
for their new book of scripture, the Book of Mormon,
they have unusual teachings somewhat patterned after other religious
groups.
They
have a prophet, the successor to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, but
through the hundred and seventy years of their life, they've become
known for several unusual and "off the wall" teachings;
their new boks, polygamy, baptism for the dead, marriage for eternity,
one prophet at a time, and have an unusual, unique relationship
to to what they believe is truth.
Among
the teachings of Joseph Smith was its connection with Islam.
Fawn Brodie's book No Man Knows My History has an entire
chapter on "The Alcorn or the Sword" referring to the
inclusion of Islam (Muslims) in his teachings. Brigham Young
University
has a special program on
Islamic teachings.
Mormonism is wrong about so many things. Their god is a human
being. He can be at only one place at a time. He has a
body, he was not the creator, they have no explanation for space, the
unique revolving of the planets, the universe, how all of life came to
be, nor how it continues.
